Use current version of grgit

The git scm plugin uses a pre stable version of grgit (0.*). The latest release of grgit ist 2.1.0. Since I am using grgit directly in my build.gradle, I get a version conflict and gradle resolves to the newest version. Is it possible to update the scm plugin to use a more current and stable version?

It looks like the 0.+ versions of grgit were removed from plugins.gradle.org, so this issue is more urgent.
