I am a data scientist in the UK [Government Digital
Service](https://gds.blog.gov.uk/) and have previously worked for [Scottish
Power](https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/) and
[various](https://www.mbie.govt.nz/) [New](http://www.police.govt.nz/)
[Zealand](http://www.nzdf.mil.nz/) [ministries](https://www.justice.govt.nz/).
I studied English Literature at [University College
London](https://www.ucl.ac.uk/) and Applied Statistics at [Victoria University
of Wellington](https://www.victoria.ac.nz/).

I wrote [Spreadsheet Munging
Strategies](https://nacnudus.github.io/spreadsheet-munging-strategies), a guide
to getting data out of complex spreadsheets using my R packages
[tidyxl](https://nacnudus.github.io/tidyxl) and
[unpivotr](https://nacnudus.github.io/unpivotr).  I am an
[ROpenSci](https://ropensci.org/about/) reviewer.  Find more of my work on

Church](https://www.pinnerparishchurch.org.uk/).  I play the

touring](https://www.crazyguyonabike.com/).
