Plug Wallet Integration

Hi! I'm experimenting with adding the Plug button to the project, using the guide https://docs.plugwallet.ooo/getting-started/plug-button/

When running the command
npm add @psychedelic/plug-connect
I get an error
Not found - GET https://registry.npmjs.org/@psychedelic%2fplug-connect -Not found"

I suspect this is because the .npmrc file is in the wrong place. Can you please tell me where it should be? :(
I've tried several options, but keep bumping into the error...

In https://github.com/Psychedelic/plug-connect#-installation it says:

The Plug Connect package is in the Github Package Registry and not in the NPM Registry!

and then describes how to install.

People seem to be putting this info in a .npmrc file.
