• I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

Hi,
You should use the .exe file instead of the .msi file to install Cryptomator as the FSP component requirement is missing when using the .msi file. Also, Winget is not able to update Cryptomator when using the winget upgrade command, even if it finds an available update.

Steps to reproduce

winget install Cryptomator.Cryptomator doesn't install FSP
winget upgrade doens't update if exe has been used before the msi

Cryptomator Cryptomator.Cryptomator 1.14.0 1.14.2 winget

Actual behavior

C:\Users\TestAccount>winget upgrade Cryptomator.Cryptomator

A more recent version has been found, but the installation technology is different from the current version installed. Uninstall the package and install the latest version.

Expected behavior

Winget should be able to update whether it as been installed with exe or msi
FSP component should be installed automatically with the install command

Windows: Windows.Desktop v10.0.26100.2605

Caution

The manifest is submitted by a "privileged account" @cryptobot (who is a bot account controlled by @cryptomator). I think other contributors or volunteers may not have authority to modify these manifests.

It would be better creating an issue in their repository and asking the official team to make these changes ❤.
