Several new releases have been made since the version that's still on Winget. Is there some way to automate these updates?

I think the current manifest of the latest version of this package is just wrong.
The manifest sets the installer for x86 architecture to x64 architecture.

If the manifest for this package is now automatically updated, it is possible that this error will continue to appear in subsequent versions.
Incidentally, here are all the available installers for this package:
