@jeffkl what is the best way to implement this? abstract out serialization / deserialization parts and keep the domain logic intact is one way i could think of. it's hypothetical as i'm not familiar with the code

The best-supported, most compatible way will be to use the forthcoming solution library, but that means waiting.
