When the compiled target file is run, the terminal does not print any error messages, but the application window does not appear.

the answer above did work for me but i m thinking that maybe not setting the render to gtk might cause the package to loose some functionality, i haven't verified this or anyting, it's just a guess and i hope the devs can give us some clarity about this
