What would you like to be added?

Based on the previous version of KubeEdge, a version of the dashboard has been implemented. We hope to continuously iterate and optimize the dashboard, including but not limited to the following tasks:

  • optimizing the dashboard based on the new version of KubeEdge API
  • refactoring the dashboard using new frameworks such as Material, etc.

Why is this needed?

The dashboard should be kept optimized and synchronized with the KubeEdge release.

Hey @Shelley-BaoYue ,

I hope you're doing well. I'm Sahil Gupta, a BTech student from IIIT Jabalpur. I'm interested in contributing to the CNCF - KubeEdge project, specifically the Iterating Enhancement for KubeEdge Dashboard.

I have experience in Node.js and frontend development, having worked on various projects where I utilized Node.js for backend development and built frontend interfaces using frameworks like React. Additionally, I've delved into enhancing user experience through UI/UX optimizations.

The opportunity to update the KubeEdge Dashboard to align with the latest KubeEdge APIs and improve its user experience using mainstream frameworks like Material excites me greatly. I'm eager to leverage my skills and contribute effectively to this project.

Could you provide guidance on how I can get started with contributing to this project?

Thank you for considering my interest.

Best regards,
Sahil Gupta
