During installation, basic modules (main menu, breadcrumbs, login) are defined and stored in the database.

This causes several issues - maybe it is possible changing the basic modules in the sample data plugin or replace them by others.

This is a collection of issues, as reminder

  1. Breadcrumbs should not be displayes on the homepage
  2. The login menuItem must have access level "guest"
  3. The main menu should be in the top menu, not in the sidebar-right
  4. We could avoid showing a sidebar, but move all modules to the header / footer / top / bottom positions
  5. It would be nice if the articles on the homepage were not full with details for autor / date but only teaser blocks

Resolving this in the installation data needs a database or the modules and their params in the blog sample data.

The only one that should be installed on a clean install is main menu

I always considered it a bug that breadcrumbs and login were published (I thought we had changed that)
