We are glad you're interested in contributing to themis-contract
!
Contributions are most welcome.
There are two principles ways to contribute at this point:
- File an issue with a bug report or feature request.
- Contribute to the source code (including documentation).
We require that all commits be signed, certifying the Developer Certificate of Origin (DCO). By signing your commits you confirm that you wrote your contribution, or have otherwise secured the right to contribute the contribution as an open-source addition to our project.
Here is the full text, also hosted at https://developercertificate.org/ :

By making a contribution to this project, I certify that:
(a) The contribution was created in whole or in part by me and I have the right to submit it under the open source license indicated in the file; or
(b) The contribution is based upon previous work that, to the best of my knowledge, is covered under an appropriate open source license and I have the right under that license to submit that work with modifications, whether created in whole or in part by me, under the same open source license (unless I am permitted to submit under a different license), as indicated in the file; or
(c) The contribution was provided directly to me by some other person who certified (a), (b) or (c) and I have not modified it.
(d) I understand and agree that this project and the contribution are public and that a record of the contribution (including all personal information I submit with it, including my sign-off) is maintained indefinitely and may be redistributed consistent with this project or the open source license(s) involved.
You can sign your commits automatically by using the --signoff
(or -s
) flag
when you commit:
git commit -s -m 'Some commit message'
Or manually, by including a line with your name and email in each commit message, following this pattern:
Some commit message
Signed-off-by: Some Name <[email protected]>
If you forget to signoff on one ore more commits (or if you didn't read the contributing guide before opening a PR ;) ) you can easily fix your commits by following this guide from source{d}.
