I have the same thing going on. Is there any way to solve this?
Events are updated in the LOG tab, but no information appears in the NAV-SYSTEM. The information was disabled after I connected the tablet.
The issue has been resolved. It turns out that mandatory data upload to EDSM is needed, otherwise the information will not be received. If it had been explicitly stated on the description page, there would have been no questions.
I'll add message to that screen so that when people see it it makes it clear they need to also run something that submits data to EDDN or EDSM.net
I did ask the EDDN maintainers about doing this natively in ICARUS but the consensus seemed to be against it as there are so many third party apps that do already and I think they feel they have enough work trying wrangle the existing apps to address bugs, handle changes that come with updates to the game, etc. without worrying about yet another app submitting to EDDN... but I do think it's a shame that it's not easier and doesn't "just work" out of the box.
