ICARUS Terminal is in early access. I'm not looking for bug reports, issue submissions or pull requests at this time - the administration overhead of dealing with them isn't something I want to do in my limited free time.

Ideas & Suggestions

I love hearing new ideas for things and it's fun and productive to have "What if..." or "It would be nice if..." gameplay discussions as there can be easy to add features that I might not have thought to add and it's helpful to know the sort of things folks would most like to see as generally as while I'm building this for myself I'm also happy to prioritize work on things other folks find useful, especially when there are quick wins.

I'm very happy if folks want to do that in the Discussion area here and/or in the forums. It's also great when folks vote on or expand on ideas other folks have posted, as that's helpful to understand what folks are interested in and the amount of work involved.

Bug Reports

While it's in the early access stage I'm not looking to have public submission of bug reports or feature requests as I don't want to spend my free time on a hobby project doing a bunch of admin work.

At the pre-release stage there is a lot of obvious stuff that isn't anywhere near done yet (e.g. missing data, incorrectly rendered systems, portions of the UI might be blank, etc.) and having people point out known issues is generally not helpful - an dealing with them takes away from the productive activity of actually working on the app (which is also more fun).

I anticipate this changing as things stabilize so it's easier to track issues over time, but for now would ask folks to keep in mind it's both free software and early access so it's best to expect that stuff will be broken. That said, I do appreciate a heads up if you experience any extreme issues such as crashes or it failing to load game files.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen / AntiVirus / Firewall Software

All releases are now digitally signed and verified before release, so if your anti-virus / malware protection / firewall software flags it as a false positive or stops the program from running then that's something you should contact the vendor of that software about.

Code Contributions

This project is a bit of an escape for me; a fun thing to do in the evenings, lunch breaks, weekends, etc. that I'm happy to share with folks and the last thing I want to do is look at pull requests when I'm holiday or hangout in meeting rooms on Slack or Discord debating code changes (sorry-not-sorry).

While ICARUS Terminal relies on work by Elite Dangerous Community Developers and services like the Elite Dangerous Star Map - and would not be possible without them - I'm not looking for direct contributions to the codebase on this project. I do appreciate offers, but that's not something I'm looking for at the moment.

However, if you want to share an API you think I might find useful, or if you would like to split off some of the functionality in this app into a library, to reuse any of the code/assets/data in your own project, to discuss some sort of integration with your own project or create your own app from this one - that's great, please do that and I would love to hear from you!
