Currently there is no way to determine if a status change succeeded other than querying the status.stratum0.org JSON API. Which is fine (and actually exactly what we want) except that a status change may currently take a long time (> 1 Minute) to propagate from the IRC channel to the JSON page.

Temporary solution: let the app try to change the status via Trixie multiple times for a minute or two before giving up.

Long term solution: stratum0/StratumOpenCloseMonitor#2

Wrote an IRC-Bot, which handles opening/closing/status propagation. Works pretty well.
