Hey @twobiers, could you please run ./test.sh twobiers and send a PR to make sure they pass and finish in a short time? We have added some tests to cover some corner cases and this implementation doesn't pass all of them right now. Thanks!

@gunnarmorling Are the tests actually failing within your evaluation environment or were they failing during the PR review process where the test cases have been introduced?
Asking because I can only reproduce an issue on MacOS where the JVM Option UseTransparentHugePages is unavailable.
