Welcome to the Feedback-Wiki!

Heya, nice you made it here. We love hearing from you. This the page on which we discuss new features, enhancement requests, ideas ect before opening an actual ticket, which is another way to let us know, something is broken.

If you encounter issues please have a look at our Issue System. Maybe there's already a ticket for the bug you encounter?

Ideas

  • have mouse active in entry field

Have mouse curser active in the field in which it is most likely that the first user entry will be made in. E.g. for "Search Data" that would be most likely the "Location" field. Imo, it's great usability being able to instantly start typing in that field. Is that somehow possible?

  • Provide better explanation of UI

That's a very general ticket, and since general tickets never get fixed, let's start with something specific ;) . On "Search Data" you still have a placeholder text. 2 or 3 lines explaining that specific page view would be helpful. To me, it is not clear what checking "Historical" actually does. How is it defined? If I check Historical, do I still have to enter dates? It would be great being able to quickly search a place without entering any dates and receive all data related to that specific location.

  • Integrate as much data sources as possible

I'm sure you are aware of the german sensor map at http://odlinfo.bfs.de/ . Wouldn't it be awesome to have all this data and add it to Geigercrowd? Did you talk to any officials so far? There must be huge amounts of data available around the globe. And I'd love to hear an official response on providing that data to Geigercrowd.net . Lots of that data is payed with tax fees so there's quite some logic in making it public.

  • Clean Up "Blog"

Currently the headline reads "CURRENT STATUS - Ç¾ÅŒ¨Ã®ÇŠ¶Æ³". I assume the latter part is unintended? It would make the page much nicer to look at if that strange letter salad is deleted. Why not provide a date with the latest blog entry? I personally hate it, when I can't tell from which time information on the net is. It's important context and should be provided. And why not be a little proud of yourselves? Explain, that after months of spending your time this is now the first public beta and you want everybody to test and help improving geigercrowd.net.
