Welcome to the Contribute-Wiki.

There are many ways in which you can help to provide better transparancy about what's happening with the radiation leakage in Japan. The geigercrowd.net Project is an attempt to do this. If you want to contribute, you've come to the right place.

Coding

If you are a capable coder or better a team of coders please consider contacting us regarding the creation of data input, processing and map rendering software. a wiki is waiting for you to brainstorm about how to realize this not overly but quite helpful task. This option is especially interesting for people outside of japan who want to help directly. If feel like you can do more than just donating money to humanitarian organisations, contact us. You can find open issues in our ticket system here on GitHub.

Provide data

To fill our map with data, we need people that contribute regular readings from sensors that measure radiation. Please fill out the sensor form to get in touch with us. What we need is the type of sensor you have, the approximate location and the units your sensor data will have. e.g. µSv/h - This will help the people that chose to help via 'Option 2' to figure out what data is there to process into a map. Contact us via this form if you are able to contribute sensor data. We will fill you in about the procedure.

Donations
