Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes, I have bad sounding monitor speakers (Dell) that I improve with FxSound (and by a lot!) --
But FxSound should leave my normal USB Audio interface (Focusrite) alone. At the moment I have to exit FxSound so I can use it directly.
I suspect a lot of users have a similar use case.
Describe the solution you'd like
My idea for a solution is that instead of the auto-switch, which prevents switching to the actual device and switches to FxSound instead, an FxSound instance would be set up for each device. The profile setting would be saved with each instance.
The user could then hide/delete the instances he doesn't need, either using windows ("Don't allow" button) or possibly in the FxSound settings.
Example
"before" Windows Audio device list:
DELL Monitor Speakers (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) // can't select this, auto switches to FX Sound
FX Sound Speakers (FX Sound Audio Enhancer)
Headphones (Focusrite USB Audio) // can't select this, auto switches to FX Sound
"after" Windows Audio device list (FxSound would let me select any item in this list):
DELL Monitor Speakers (NVIDIA High Definition Audio)
DELL Monitor Speakers via FX Sound Speakers (FX Sound Audio Enhancer # 1)
Headphones (Focusrite USB Audio)
Headphones via FX Sound Speakers (FX Sound Audio Enhancer # 2) // I would delete this instance in this example
