Hello Tom, Thanks for reaching me out. I'm sorry about that, the Copyright section was replaced by the contributing-gen script that we ran into our project when we tested it out. Thanks again for your time. Best, |

Hello Samuel,
I hope this message finds you well.
I noticed that you have forked two of my repositories (contributing-gen and its web version). Cool! But unfortunately you've made a change to the MIT License by altering the author name to your own. That's not cool and not compliant with the terms of the MIT License, which stipulates that the original copyright notice should remain intact.
The appropriate action would be to maintain my name (as the original author) in the license. If you have made significant changes or additions to the project, you're more than welcome to add your own copyright notice alongside the existing one, but replacing it entirely is not ok.
Here's the recommended format:
Kindly revise the copyright notice in the license accordingly.
Best regards,
Tom
Edit: Unfortunately, you have disabled the issue section in these two repositories so I've created this discussion.
