In order to get the noise properties of the added galaxy flux correct, we need to be able to convert from flux to photons. The reported zeropoints and gains in the image headers probably give us enough information to do this, but we should think through carefully how to implement it.
For now, this doesn't matter very much, because the noise properties of nearly all of the objects we are about are sky-dominated.
