This issue has been migrated from #16525.

And then do the equivalent of #16524 and matrix-org/pkg-repo-configs#21.

Ubuntu 24.04 "Noble" was released more than a month ago.

Package base is very similar to the upcoming release of Debian 13 "Trixie".

Any news on the issue? Thanks

Any status here? I ran the upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04.1 just now and just found that there's no builds for noble on the server.

Thank god for snapshots, I guess.

In two days this issue has his first birthday. Don't forget to congratulate. And -maybe- add the packages for noble ;)

I opened a PR to add Noble Numbat to the build config. I have no idea if anything more than this has to go on in the background, but I hope it gets the ball moving either way.

Attempting to install from the older repo has this one conflict on Noble:

matrix-synapse-py3 : Depends: libicu72 (>= 72.1~rc-1~) but it is not installable

Hope this can be fixed soon! Anyone have an easy workaround in the short-term, other than not using Ubuntu Noble?

Any update on this?

I believe this is now done and just waiting for build processes. I also easily installed matrix-synapse via pip in Noble.
