Is your feature request related to a particular use-case?

Currently mdbook manifests are skipped.

Describe the solution you'd like to implement/see implemented

It'd be nice to handle this gracefully, maybe skipping some subdirs.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Ignore and let the files be picked up recursively.
