Partially answering the data rate question. Just realized that since I have to set up can0 from the command line before starting SavvyCAN that is where it is set to 250000 for the data rate. But I'm still not clear on why the read only mode setting doesn't stick. |

Just getting started with SavvyCAN. cloned the latest, built fine Qt5 15, so that shouldn't be an issue.
I have an Arduino with a CAN SPI interface with 8MHz crystal and have configured it for 250000 with an 8MHz crystal.
I have the CAN interface connected to the Arduino connected the USB-CAN interface on the computer. Terminator resistors on each end.
I have the Arduino in a loop sending messages, and I get the messages just fine in SavvyCAN.
I try setting SavvyCAN to 250000 and read only mode, I click on the save button but nothing appears to happen. I also changed preferences to save the connection settings.
But the connection settings don't stick. In addition it is confusion since the Arduino is sending at 250000 but SavvyCAN appears to receive the data just fine even though it is configured for 500000, and it doesn't appear to make any difference if I change from 500000 to 250000 in SavvyCAN.
Interface is can0 and a Canable interface device.
Thanks.
