Black screen when trying to open

When I try launch the app, it just shows a black rectangle.
tried both the AppImage and .deb.

Hey,
thanks for reporting this issue. Sadly, the information provided is not really enough to find the problem. Could you try to open the developer tools with Control+Alt+I?
