PPA / Homebrew releases #114
Comments
Ideally, Linux distributions themselves should provide pdfium as an individual package so it can be shared among dependents, instead of bundling it with any dependent package, e.g. chromium, libreoffice, qt, libvips, ... |
Yes I agree, any idea why they didn't do that? |
I'm all in favor of publishing PPA/Homebrew, but I don't know how to do that. |
I don't have any experience with publishing to PPA, but I do have some with Homebrew, I'll look into it somewhere this/next week. Should be fairly simple since it's just a binary distribution and afaik Homebrew can just pull from Github releases. |
Would it be an idea to have this project automatically publish a package to PPA for Ubuntu/Debian and to Homebrew for MacOS? It would make the installation of the library a lot easier and I think it might be possible to automate the whole process.
