How to find asset id for eth_getAssetBalance api ?

Hi,
I am new to avalanche blockchain, I am just trying to figure out a way to retrieve ERC20 token balance of an wallet address.
Then I found eth_getAssetBalance is used to retrieves the token balance on C-chain, where it requires assetID.

eth_getAssetBalance({
    address: string,
    blk: BlkNrOrHash,
    assetID: string,
}) -> {balance: int}

Is there any way to find assetID of the deployed contract address ? ( ex : 0xB97EF9Ef8734C71904D8002F8b6Bc66Dd9c48a6E )
