diglett consumes large amounts of CPU even when Chocolat isn’t running #1807

I have Chocolat 3.3.4 (3.3.4) on macOS 10.12.1 (16B2657).

At time of the incident, Chocolat wasn’t running – although it might have been running shortly beforehand, I’m not sure.

Anyway, fans on my laptop started spinning up. I go to Activity Monitor, and discover a process called diglett is chewing through CPU:

A glance in the Console suggests it’s restarting repeatedly:

Killing the process in Activity Monitor seemed to fix the problem, although it’s still unclear:

  1. Why it was hammering the CPU
  2. Why it was running when Chocolat wasn’t
