Chrome Extension: Inline Search Button

This is a simple Chrome extension that allows users to highlight text on a webpage and search for it on YouTube using a custom button.

Features

  • Highlight Text: Select any text on a webpage to highlight it.
  • Search on YouTube: Click on the custom YouTube button to search for the highlighted text on YouTube.

Installation

Install from GitHub

  1. Clone the repository:
  2. Open Google Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/.
  3. Enable developer mode by clicking the toggle switch on the top right.
  4. Click on "Load unpacked" and select the cloned repository folder.

Install as a Chrome Extension

You can also install the extension directly from the Chrome Web Store:

Usage

Select any text on a webpage.

  • A custom button with the YouTube logo will appear next to the selected text.
  • Click on the button to search for the selected text on YouTube or Google.
