You sure? Sound's more like your hunger bar still is too high. You can't use them if you're missing less than 2 chickensticks.

Still can't reproduce this. You need to have at least 2 1/2 chicken sticks missing to be able to eat them.

Yea, using it in 12.2, I've fallen from the platform (have forgiving void) and my hunger drained down to the half point and I couldn't eat from rations still so even from having more 2 sticks missing it doesn't work. Also it should be made to work with ANY missing hunger as healing depends on a full hunger bar.

That's the point. They're not to heal, but to not starve :P
Sounds like something can break the eating mechanic. Are you on a server or singleplayer?
