Step 4: Create a route - Not routing

Hello, I am currently going through the Hello World Documentation and I am able to get to Step 4: Create a Route and I'm hitting a snag that is identical to this post. Even though the documentation was updated to create the routing file as "_index.jsx", I am still shown the boilerplate "Start Building" and "Resources" and nothing changes when creating the file as per the documentation. Am I missing something, or has the process changed since that post?

If it helps, I am getting these 3 warnings during the installation:

Hi @jmillerstag, could you please share the exact relative path of your _index.jsx route?

I have hit ctrl c twice to cancel in the terminal, and then ran npm run dev again if that counts. Otherwise, I've tried deleting the entire root folder and trying again 3 separate times with the same result.

So far all I'm doing is:

1. create folder for project
2. use command npm create @shopify/hydrogen@latest in terminal to get the project downloaded
3. once downloaded, cd to project directory
4. create app/routes/_index.jsx - add code from documentation
5. type npm run dev in terminal

I expect this in the browser, but get this instead even after emptying cache and hard reloading.

Hmm, super weird. I can't reproduce the problem in windows with those steps. I can only reproduce it with these steps:

1. create folder for project
2. use command npm create @shopify/hydrogen@latest in terminal to get the project downloaded
3. once downloaded, cd to project directory
4. type npm run dev in terminal
5. create app/routes/_index.jsx - add code from documentation

But then I resolve it by restarting the app in the terminal.

Just to confirm, when you say restart, are you just hitting ctrl c to stop the app, then running npm start dev again?

Would you mind popping up the folder to a repo so I can confirm it's not an issue with the download on my end?

Well, this worked. Not sure what happened, but I am now getting the prompt from the documentation.

Steps I took to get it going:

1. created folder called 'hydro-windows-test-master'
2. ran npm create @shopify/hydrogen@latest
3. copied content from the repo supplied by @blittle overwriting 16 files
4. ran npm run dev

Voila, it started working. I created a repo immediately after running @shopify/hydrogen@latest and then committed the changes after replacing the files. Not a lot changed, but you can have a look here in case it'll help someone else: https://github.com/jmillerstag/hydro-windows-test-master
