Vite swallows console.time?

Logs were working previous to upgrade to vite. For some reason vite + hydrogen is swallowing console.time / console.timeEnd in loaders?

This is visible in the quickstart

  console.log('do you log');
  console.time('criticalData');

  // Await the critical data required to render initial state of the page
  const criticalData = await loadCriticalData(args);
  console.timeEnd('criticalData');

10:01:17 AM [vite] hmr update /app/root.jsx
do you log

 GET  200  loader  /  30ms  [root]

This does not happen in a fresh remix app.

I could not find anything helpful in vite docs

Also, performance interface does not seem to be supported in workerd?
