At the moment, it doesn't look likes xticks is supported as part of the bivariatelegend! function. It would be nice to have an option to add the values that separate quantiles in small font on each axis of the legend for bivariate plots

That's because Plots.jl is hell and as long as I'll keep valuing my immortal soul (I give it a week) I will not attempt to fix this with too much effort.

is there any hope via Makie.jl? otherwise adding the labels post hoc can work and we can close this issue

Maybe Makie would help but there's a lot I need to check before making the move. That's low priority at the moment, sorry!
