Ensure bootstrapping accounts for variables added in PR #70 and #67

In PR #70 and #67 several variables were added (abundance, numerical density, etc.). When these variables were added, we did not ensure that bootstrapping accounted for these variables. We need to decide if bootstrapping should account for these newly added variables and if so, we need to make sure that they are correctly accounted for in bootstrapping.
