Tested with these paths:

/storage/app/uploads/public/5ed/914/5a2/thumb_788_150_150_0_0_crop.jpg
storage/app/uploads/public/5ed/914/5a2/thumb_788_150_150_0_0_crop.jpg
https://www.example.com/storage/app/uploads/public/5ed/914/5a2/thumb_788_150_150_0_0_crop.jpg

The last one didn't work without this PR.

I close this PR since more tests made me realize that it was useless: absolute path is already supported.
