Description:
I am experiencing issues with GIF playback in PowerPoint when sharing a GIF created from an MP4 file. The GIF works perfectly on my machine with PowerPoint 2024, but when shared with others using older versions of PowerPoint, the GIF fails to play correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Convert an MP4 file to a GIF using Built-in Encoder/System Encoder
2.Inserting GIFs into PowerPoint presentations using PowerPoint 2024works fine.
3.Placing a gif in _a low version of Powerpoint gives a description like ‘Cannot open image’.
4.Try to generate compatibility Powerpoint (version 2003), GIF generated under System can be played, GIF with built-in encoder still can't be played.
Environment:
Operating System: Windows 10
ScreenToGif Version:2.41.1
PowerPoint Version: 2024 / 2013←(wrong Version)
Encoder Used: Built-in encoder / System encoder
Additional Notes:
We have had to resort to alternative methods to resolve this issue, but I believe it is important to document the problem for further investigation.
Thank you for your patience!
