Export p2p symbols as GPL

Hi,
As most of you probably know, import of non-GPL symbols was recently blocked in the kernel by the following patch:

Is it possible to export p2p symbols (e.g. nv_p2p_get_pages) using EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL to allow other modules use it? Is there a legal reason not to?
