Windows (x64) Linux (x64)
Windows PowerShell 5.1 (download WMF 5.1). PowerShell Core isn't supported. Linux Hardening must not be enabled.
.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later.

What does Linux Hardening mean in this context? This is not an objective requirement, but a set of best practices if using domain knowledge around the the subject Linux.

I would like to see a reference to a document here, if this is a specific feature from one of the many Azure solutions that feature "hardening".

Otherwise, I believe it would be best to detail which configurations are required for it to function.

At the moment is doing more harm than good, because it will only lead to chasing around for the meaning of it and can easily lead to incorrect assessments.

It would be great if you could add a link to the documentation you are following for these steps? This would help us redirect the issue to the appropriate team. Thanks!!

I am sorry, I thought the link to the specific line in the repository would be sufficient. So I navigated to the link and asked copilot (didn't have the page open anymore).
According to copilot you can also reach the related documentation via the pattern from the repository:

Which translates /automation/migrate-existing-agent-based-hybrid-worker-to-extension-based-workers.md using
learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/service/document template to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/automation/migrate-existing-agent-based-hybrid-worker-to-extension-based-workers

I hope this helps you in assignments in the future.
