I'm a member of The Carpentries staff and I'm submitting this issue on behalf of another member of the community. In most cases, I won't be able to follow up or provide more details other than what I'm providing below.

I would like to contribute to the Library Carpentries Lesson "Introduction to R", which is still under development.
Since Carpentries are facing the novice learners, especially for librarians, I suggest to add "R jargons" in the first section of the course. Also, I would suggest to introduce the data structures in R before the formal instruction.

I attached a notes in PDF for my suggestions.
