Trading Strategy works backwards?

Hello,
I am pretty new to the crypto bot's stuff and am looking for some help with this. I downloaded this bot and have been trying to use it for maybe a couple weeks or so. I keep getting this annoying issue when trying to run it though, the bot consistently makes a purchase which is nice, but then turns around and waits until the price drops below the purchase price before attempting to sell. Like I will watch the price move upwards, sometimes as much as 2% and the bot will just wait it out and sell for a loss every time. Maybe I'm just not understanding how it is supposed to work, but nothing I have tried so far even comes close to fixing this. If anybody is able to help with this I would really appreciate it.
