Running scripts/db-init.sh led to the error

psql: error: connection to server on socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432" failed: FATAL: Peer authentication failed for user "postgres".

I had to modify my /etc/postgresql/14/main/pg_hba.conf to get around this. I'm not sure what the "correct" fix is.
