I'm still getting "invalid cloud password" for a C110 in HA after following the instructions #656

Update: So it turns out my router only says that it's blocking internet access, but it still allows access to certain services. Google and Youtube still load, but the results don't. Since it's a TPLink router, obviously, the cameras get through too, so...useless. I blocked internet from my router. Factory reset the camera by pushing the button until the camera said "reset complete, restarting camera." Verified that the internet was blocked when I added the camera back to the tapo app and it said "this camera can only be controlled locally." It only did this for the first camera I did this with, I assumed it was because I had cleared the...notification? Anyway, I set the cameras back up, set up the account and verified that I get video from the RTSP stream in VLC. I even deleted the "tapo_control" folder and replaced it with the latest version, just in case. I'm still getting "invalid cloud password" when I try to add it in HA though. I know for a fact that the password is right, I copied it from my password manager. In the camera that I got the "local control only" notice with, the firmware is 1.3.14 Build 240513 Rel.45784n(5553) edit: I have 6 cameras set up, I only reset 3 of them. 1 of the cameras shows firmware 1.3.11, but the other 2 show updated to 1.3.14. I'm beginning to wonder if I actually blocked the internet correctly...the one that has old firmware knows that it's outdated, who knows why it hasn't updated, updates aren't turned off. |

Upon further messing about in my router, I finally figured out their convoluted way of blocking access, rebooted everything several times and finally managed to get what I was after. There was no actual issue, just the router being dumb, so I'm marking this as closed. |
