Is there new design needed?

Yes

What?

It is difficult to know what is the currently deployed version of GovTool and its different pillars. So, it would be convenient to have them shown somewhere on GovTool. It could be a separate page /version or on footer or any other appropriate place.

Since, there are multiple pillars (existing and planned), it would be better to show each pillar versions as well.

Why?

It helps users and testers to know what is the currently deployed version and find out if reported bug fixes or features are included in the release.
It also provides additional assurance that the deployment was done correctly and the correct version is deployed.

How?

The best way to get the version information is through git tags including the commit hash. For the pillars, their corresponding npm version could be used.

(Optional) User Story with acceptance criteria

As a: Website user
I want: to see the version information of GovTool and its pillars
So that: I can be informed if the new version of GovTool has been released.
