the plug-in will not enable in the current latest version of obsidian on Android

in the current latest version of Android obsidian it will allow me to install the plug-in but it will not enable.

is this a known problem? how can I fix it if so?

Okay if anyone else who finds their way here - this plugin is old and clearly breaking. It looks like the repo has been abandoned since it hasn't been updated in multiple years and it has open PRs from ages ago.

If you want to embed YouTube videos or tweets, obsidian supports it natively using the same markdown syntax as you use to display inline images, like so:
