I just realized that you have to use the initials on this list in order to load up different languages.
We should document this...

Hi @SteadyCadence. I think it is already documented here. The only exception is the languages using three digit codes, but there are really very little now. I think we should be ok with this. What do you think?

hey hey @dpalomino,
I tried using bur for "Burmese" and was getting errors about that language. And same with "karen". You have to use the codes in that list... which also means that any language not on that list is not able to be uploaded.

I think the documentation is unclear. You have to use the 2 digit iso codes or the questionnaire will not upload-- at least that is the issue I have been running into on staging.

I think we should create a reference table so that people can look at that. And then make it a little bit more clear in the documentation that they have to use those codes.

@SteadyCadence, I think I'm confused to the issue - the documentation clearly states the need for using 2-digit codes at multiple points. There are also links to lists of the ISO codes.

That said, I'm open to changing things if they are unclear. Can you point to the parts that are confusing??

I think the documentation states it, but it is not super clear when you are using a language that is not supported. I think we only support the languages in that list.

I also think we need to use language, like "You must use the 2-digit language code..." because for non english speakers it may not be as clear.

Maybe we can add something like, "if you don't see your language in that list please check with us". It's going to be complicated to point out to all the potential languages codes and maybe too confusing for the user...

@dpalomino or maybe there is a language look-up that would be helpful?

@SteadyCadence copy your feedback, I'll update the documentation. Also thanks for clarifying.

Per @wonderchook's idea, is there a list anywhere of the country exceptions?

@SteadyCadence @wonderchook @bethschechter

Just realized that we have the whole list of languages supported in this file. We just need to make sure that we have this list updated. Maybe we can create a table with this list and include a link to the table in the documentation.
