Now the battery health reads 93.5%. This is quite strange...is it normal for the batterry health readings to be so volatile? It's been just a day. Please help. 😩 |

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience with AlDente and my MacBook M1 Pro Max's battery health. I've been using AlDente for a while now, even longer than I've had my current MacBook. However, I have to admit that I haven't been paying enough attention to my battery health and monitoring any changes regularly.
Today, I finally performed my first calibration after months of owning the laptop, and I was surprised by the results.
Here are the main changes I noticed after calibration:
Previously, there used to be a 7% difference in the hardware battery when it was turned on versus turned off. But now, whether the feature is on or off, the numbers are exactly the same. There's no difference anymore.
In addition, the battery health went from 94% (8175mAh, 109 cycles) to 91.2% (7931mAh, 111 cycles) on the same day. I was quite taken aback by such a significant change in percentage and mAh.
Is this behavior considered normal? I'm a bit concerned because I purchased the MacBook brand new on November 18, 2022, so this battery degradation is a bit alarming, isn't it?.
I'm curious if any of you have had similar experiences or if you have any tips to share. I tend to use my laptop both on the go and at home, as I have a fairly nomadic lifestyle. My laptop is always with me when I travel or go to a café, and sometimes I don't have access to an outlet.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.
