Another: The MacBook Air didn't join with retina screen until after 2018, and the normal screen machines from 2013-2017 were also supported. The last generation of MacBook Pro did not have non-retina models and some models that initially joined retina were not supported, which should not be the case. I did not mention the 2010 and 2011 models because these machines are more aging (officially supported up to macOS High Sierra, and the highest system version with OCLP patches is macOS Monterey), and the 2010 and 2011 15-inch/17 Inch machine discrete graphics have serious flaws. Models with discrete graphics must be shielded to continue to use, and most users obviously did not do this job. This is not a bug report, nor a feature proposal, so it can only be placed in the discussion area. |

Hey , I'm a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) user. I originally used the (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) model, but later decided to replace it with the old model because the keyboard was damaged many times. For ease of maintenance, I chose the last generation model without retina. The minimum MacBook Pro models I know to be supported by the software are MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) / (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013).
But ignore these models: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) / (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2012) , MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013) / (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) , MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) / MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012) . These models are still in use by some users, and these machines can run the Ventura / Monterey through OCLP.
Although it is easier to replace the battery of the model without a retina screen, the battery decays faster because it is not the original battery. I know some people will object to this proposal, but I think these models should be included in the scope of support.
