How can we aggregate and visualize content hosted on all our three partner platforms?

Harvesting from

The ScienceOpen collection aggregates all text-based accepted uploads, but excludes presentations and data sets.

Challenge 1

  • different DOI-prefixes
  • different metadata schemes

Challenge 2

Solution 1

  • crossref API
  • Zenodo API

Best way is to use the APIs provided by each platform to run a federate search & retrieval via AfricArxiv web portal. osf.io, zenodo and oapen provides such APIs. Sienceopen and africaminds are not providing such ones but we can talk with them on such possibilities of integration if you have a technical contact there.

Thanks @hiarafat
what would the technical details and requirements be for the API retrieval and can we specify the output further by 'Africa only' - African country - disciplines - keywords?

What's the approximate time and resource investment?

@hiarafat - please have a look at - https://www.connecting-africa.net/index.htm

is this how you think we can also approach this? We could invite Jos to a call to discuss his experience. What do you think?
