\section{MOC Volume and Performances}
\label{app:perf}
The MOC describes ranges of space and time as an explicit list of cells. The
volume can vary a lot from a few bytes to several megabytes.
Since MOC is hierarchical, its volume mainly depends on three factors:
\begin{itemize}
\item The chosen STMOC resolutions (spatial and temporal).
\item The geometry of the region and its time coverage.
\item The density of sources for catalogs.
\end{itemize}
Some examples are shown in Tables \ref{table:smocsizeacs}, \ref{table:tmocsizeacs}, \ref{table:stmocsizeacs} and \ref{table:stmocopsacs}.
