Scenario 1

With an empty risiko installation, We tried to manually upload the following datasets:

  • Earthquake_Ground_Shaking (after conversion to tif) with keywords (category:hazard subcategory:earthquake)
  • glp10ag population estimate (after conversion to tif) with keywords (category:exposure subcategory:population)
  • OSM_building _footprints (shapefile) with keywords (category:exposure subcategory:buildings)

All of them show up correctly under layers and in GeoServer where I verified the correctness of the keywords.
However, None of them show up in the Risiko selection combo.

Scenario 2

In this scenario we uploaded a couple of hazard and exposure layers to Risiko (using risiko-upload) and verified they were all present and worked. Then we manually uploaded:

  • Earthquake_Ground_Shaking (after conversion to tif) with keywords (category:hazard subcategory:earthquake)
This caused all the other hazard layers to disappear and the new layer did not show up. The hazard selection combo was now empty.

Scenario 3

Like scenario 2 except that we uploaded an exposure data set with the appropriate keywords with the same result that
no hazard layers appeared.

PS - without hazard layer selected nothing will show up under exposure, but the hypothesis is that they are also wiped from the combo.
PPS - all layers still exist under the layers tab and in GeoServer with all keywords intact and correct.

What could be happening?

See https://github.com/AIFDR/riab/blob/develop/docs/intro/basic_install.rst for instructions how to install risiko and upload data.

I think whatever happens here is masked by issue #170
